  Good Netflix shows to watch

  in the long winter nights you need some good tv shows to watch while you wait for the eternity between seasons of game of thrones.. we've watched marco polo (pretty good) and have just started watching orange is the new black which is not at all what i imagined (didn't know it was funny!).

  house of cards is on the list too as we've heard good things about that.. anyone have any others that are worth seeing?.

  I've  been there for scaring someone by saying " i don't think i can direct anyone to this organization in good conscience because I don't think the governing body is the channel to the creator".

  If you say that you'll be back there in no time of yea and there was a second accusation since I expressed not having delight over the execution of billions at armageddon

  Really don't feel like a JW anymore

  it has been a good 8 years away from my area, a good 10 years + since i was regularly at meetings.

  a good 12 years since i was hesitantly active.. it is a slow process but it does happen.

  i now feel no connection to the belief system beyond memories.

  We left in 2010 and it feels like alot of other ideas i used to have that I've changed my mind about. Since i wasn't raised with it the experience has now become like an episode on my life of possible answers. i've made my share of mistakes and held wrong ideas and now moved on.  It's maybe easier w/o baggage like JW family, children and childhood history.

  i was expecting you, but not so early in the day.. i saw you walk up to my neighbor fred's house last week while i was out getting the newspaper, once again tossed into the bushes by a careless newspaper boy.

  today, it's the usual routine of rising at dawn, fetching the paper from the bushes -- where else?

  -- and settling into my comfy, tattered wing back with the first of several cups of coffee.

  a lady walks into harrods.

  she looks around, spots a beautiful diamond bracelet and walks over to inspect it.

  as she bends over to look more closely, she unexpectedly farts.very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone noticed her little woops and prays that a sales person was not anywhere near.as she turns around, her worst nightmare materializes in the form of a salesman standing right behind her good looking as well.cool as a cucumber, he displays all of the qualities one would expect of a professional in a store like harrods.he politely greets the lady with, good day, madam.

  i was looking at the archive of the books of the wts, and when i fall on the cover of this book of 1933, i can't empeach me to think, when i saw the nman in black, to think at the today's wts!.

  the goats are landing on the shore in fancy boats with drinks galore

  the sheep are standing on the beach their little voices start to screech

  look at the goats they laugh and dance and some are wearing real tight pants

  but we know they are going to die when vicious angels fill the sky

  this thought makes sheep feel really fine they want to watch as birdies dine

  "You are still married, and still happy ?"

  i met an aging, well, late sixties, pioneer sister a few days back, from a congregation four removes away, and a different circuit to my old congo.

  i have known her since i was a kid.. i wasn't quite sure at first if she knew our "status" as we exchanged pleasantries, but it soon became clear she knew exactly our situation, that we walked away a few years ago.. she asked me about my views on life now, and listened respectfully, and said she appreciated my view, but a couple of questions that she threw at me, as in the thread title, showed that she was surprised that mrs phizzy and i had not gone off the rails after we left.. the mind control goes so very deep does it not ?

  she was surprised that our marriage hadn't failed, and that we were now happy.. i wonder if she will ever make the connection that the jw org has lied to her about those of us who leave ?.

  We left together and everything is pretty good. My husband had a conversation with someone who said we were the only ones he knew who left and their life improved. I think the people he knew that left were messed up while they were in the org and just remained in that condition when they left.

  Surprise ! Surprise ! 2015 Arrives and NO Armageddon or World's " End " - Go Figure

  i guess 99.9 % of ex-jw's here could have predicted as much .

  armageddon didn't happen in 1914. it didn't happen in 1925. it didn't happen in 1975. and it did not happen in 2014. since the wt society first predicted a world's end when their organization started in 1879 - 126 years have passed which according to any dictionary in any human language 126 years comprises of 4 separate generations each totaling 30 years each.

  plus 6 years into a 5th generation.
